We have been custom making large self-centering chucks for applications of workholdings on lathes, milling machines, drill presses, CNC machining centers, welding positioners, CNC plasma cutters etc.. Wherever a machine calls for a self-centering workholder which can quickly setup the workpiece, our chucks are a very effective solution.
We use steel to make our OD 1250mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck's base. For our self-centering chucks OD 800mm or larger, we use steel to make their bases for optimum rigidity with high tensile strength to carry heavy works to undertake high cutting forces. Scroll plates are made of alloy steel, whole hardened to HRC 45, carburized and precision ground, to guarantee the high precision self-centering movements of jaws, while resisting the wearing well to prolong the chuck service life.
Not only our chucks can be mounted horizontally with its axis centerline positioned horizontally, but also they can be vertically mounted on machines such as vertical lathes, drill presses, CNC machining centers etc., being able to totally adapt to how you want to be positioned on the machine's worktable. Features for effective clamping, swarf proof, multiple traveling lengths of top jaws, will be carefully designed to meet your application requirements.
Usually our chucks ODs lie in range of 500-2200mm, but for larger size, we can also submit to you our proposal. Jaws numbers can be 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 till 72 (where think-wall workpiece needs a chuck being spreading it clamping forces around its perimeter to avoid deformation). Jaws of L-shape, 3-tier or other shapes can be customized. Extra-long master jaws can be furnished on request.
