These CNC controlled hydraulic self-centering steady rests are used on CNC lathes to support the long slender workpieces, ensuring their centerlines' continuous precise concentricity with the lathe's spindle centerline. Thus the processing cylindricity, concentricity and surface finish etc. are achieved on the workpieces. They are widely used in the hydraulic cylinders turning, gun barrel turning, crank shaft turning, cam shaft turning and spindle turning, etc.;
2. These hydraulic steady rests have the hydraulic cylinder rear-mounted, they can be used on both flat bed lathes and the slant bed lathes, mounted on a bracket fitted with the bed ways;
3. Our standard hydraulic steady rests are available with clamping OD within 8 - 600mm, but larger clamping capacity can be custom made on the hydraulic steady rests. You can choose from the below listed models:
