Product Description

These CNC planer type horizontal boring mills feature the advantages of the modular designs and can perform high-precision machining processes with a high proficiency. Being equipped with the accessories, this CNC boring mill can perform milling, drilling, boring, tapping, thread cutting and multi machining procedures on 2D or 3D curved surfaces.

 

1. Machine basic structures.

The machine base, column, table, slide carriage, spindle box and tailstock are made of high-strength grey cast iron through resin sand casting processes. And twice thermal aging treatments have been implemented on all the castings on this CNC planer type horizontal boring mill to ensure it can maintain stable accuracy for a long time.

2. Spindles.

The spindles consist of the boring spindle and the milling spindle. Extrally high precision spindle angular contact in-pair bearings under worldwide famous brands are used to support the spindles. Spindle bore is ISO #50 with the power draw bar fit inside.The main transmission system combines the AC servo motor and the 2-step mechanical transmissin to achieve the stepless speed regulation.

Both the milling spindle and the boring spindle are made of wear-resistant chrome-moly alloy steel 38CrMoA1A, and have been nitride hardened to a hardness of HV900 and then precision ground and lapped to achieve high-accuracy performance in the long time operations.

3. Rotary table.

It can be positioned at any desired angle. The rotary table spindle is supported on the high-precision double-row cylindrical bearings. The central unloading mechanism is mounted on top of the shafts. On the CNC-PB110 boring mill, the rotary table is driven by an AC servo motor through a backlash-eliminating reduction gearbox to ensure a high accuracy for transmission; on the CNC-PB130 and CNC-PB160 boring mills, the rotary table is driven by an AC servo motor through a reduction gearbox which drives the double pinion gears preloaded with disk springs. The reliable and convenient hydraulic clamping device is used to hold the workpiece firmly to its position under heavy cutting forces.

4. Guideways.

    [1] Switzerland made MR series of heavy duty roller linear guideways on X, Y, Z axes;
    [2] Sliding guideways being plastic coated with PTFE on B axis;
    [3] Sliding guideways on W axial direction.

5. Feeding mechanism.

Coordination feeds are performed by the combination of the reduction gearboxes and the pre-loaded ball screws & nuts which are drive by the AC servo motors on X,Y,Z,W axes. The ball screw nuts are the double-nut type with adjustable backlash.

6. Balancing mechanism.

The spindle box is balanced by the bi-directionally oriented counterweight suspended from two points.

7. Hydraulic system.

A hydraulic power unit fitted with a constent-temperature cooling device supplies pressured fluid to lubricate and cool the spindle and spindle box and drive the spindle speed shifting, cutter arbor loosing and rotary table clamping/locking, etc.. All hydraulic parts and components confirm to the ISO standards.

8. Lubrication system.

Guideways and pairs of ball screws and nuts are lubricated by the timing and quantative automatic lubrication device. The main transmission gears and the bearings are lubricated by recycling oil. The front bearing on the spindle and the ball screw shaft are lubricated with grease.

9. CNC system.

SIEMENS802D or Fanuc CNC control system. 6-Axis operatable with 4-axis operatable with 4-axis linkage for any four axes. A portable control unit is suppllied. It controls and manages the U-axis on the facing head, the tool magazine and the detectors.

10. Position measuring components.

The grating rulers are used on the X,Y,Z axes and the circular grating is used on the B axis to make up the closed loop position measurements. The encoder is used on the W axis to make up semi-closed loop position measurements.
