Product Description

1. This conventional engine lathe has extra bed width as 550 mm and features high rigidity to stably carry out heavy cutting with a high performance accuracy. It is suitable for cylindrical surfaces turning, thread cutting, facing, cutting-off, boring, drilling etc. in mass or small-batch prodcution;

2. Major castings on this lathe such as machine base, headstock frame, carriage, cross slide, tool post etc. are made of high-strength, high-density and close-grained HT-250 grey cast iron. They have been processed with three steps of aging treatments, including the natural aging treament lasting for more than 6 months. Thus their internal stress is elminited to the minimum so that the machine can retain stable accuracy with high rigidity, high strength and high distortion-resistance in heavy cutting for a long time;

3. Bed ways on the machine base have been supersonic frequency quenching and precision ground on a precision guideways grinding machine to have and retain a high accuracy. PTFE anti-friction soft belts are coated on the guideways of the carraige and the cross slide to increase the accuracy of the bed ways and prolong the machine service life;

4. Spindle on this lathe have been properly heat-treated, fine machined to possess even metallurgical structure and high toughness, high rigidity and high strength, thus it will not distort under heavy cutting. Bearings supporting this spindle are from famous plants in China to ensure the performance accuracy;

5. One-way overrunning clutch and overload protection device are mounted in the apron to protect the machine's mechanism from being damaged by overloading.
