1. Applications
This welding positioner is especially efficient for assembling the excavator buckets with welding fabrications. Through the rotation, tilting and elevation of the turntable, the workpiece on it can always be optimally positioned for welding or assembly operations. It helps to improve the welding quality and efficiency, reduce the labor intensity.
2. Structure and Working Principle
This welding positioner consists mainly of the major frame, the L-shaped cantilever, the elevation device, the tilting device, the rotating device, the turntable and the control panel.
2.1 Major Frame
Its structure is reasonable arranged with high rigidity and high strength. All the welding seams are full-strength and have been annealed after welding. The major frame's structure is box type and entirely avoids any risk of turnover of the whole machine when the workpiece is loaded on it.
The electric slip ring device is furnished around the centerline of the output shaft of the main frame. It relays the power supply with the contacts, thus the electric wirings will not wind into a mass and break when the L-shaped cantilever tilts and turnovers.
2.2 L-Shaped Cantilever
It fits with the major frame and supports the turntable. Its structure is reasonably arranged and annealed, thus it can serve for a long life span.
2.3 Elevation Device
It consists of the reducer, the screw rod elevation device and the sliding plate, etc. The L-shaped cantilever is fastened with the sliding plate which assembles with the screw rod. Thus the L-shaped cantilever is elevated up/down by the screw rod via the sliding plate.
2.4 Tilting Device
It is mounted on the major frame. It consists of the slewing bearing, the reducer and the motor, etc. All tilting motions of the L-shaped cantilever, the turntable and the fixtures on it are driven by the motor via the reducer. The slewing bearing is single-row ball type with reasonable structure, high rigidity, low weight and long service life.
2.5 Rotating Device
It consists of the reducer, the slewing bearing and the motor, etc. The reducer is worm gear type and is self-locking. Thus the workpiece can be precisely positioned freely so as to allow the operator to choose proper welding positions all around the workpiece. The slewing bearing is single-row ball type which features reasonable structure, high rigidity, low weight and long service life.
2.6 Turntable
It is rigid box type fabricated with steel plates, free from distortion after being annealed. Surfaces are fine machined.
2.7 Control Panel
Control panel is integrated on the machine. The remote hand control box is connected to the control box via cables. On the hand control box there are the power indicator, the forward / backward buttons, the turntable forward / backward buttons, the emergency stop button, etc..
