Product Description

Large 3-jaw self-centering chuck with OD 1300mm, extra-long master jaws totally covering the internal scroll plate to block the chips from entering the cavity of chuck base. This large 3-jaw self-centering chuck was custom made for holding bearing rings in a large bearing manufactory. Also, this 1300mm 3-jaw self-centering chuck can be used on a vertical boring mill, a horizontal lathe, or a boring mill to extend the machine's processing scope.
Long master jaws together with the center cover to provide versatility for the jaws positioning and cover the internal mechanism for preventing the swarf from entering the cavity of chuck bases.
This 3-jaw self-centering chuck has its back mount as short-cylinder type to match the machine spindle end. On requests, other types of back mounts to fit DIN 55026 (A Type), DIN 55027 (ISO 702/III, C Type, bayonet disk fastening), DIN 55029 (ISO 702/II, D1 Type, camlock fastening) so on can be provided as the chuck back mounts.
Chuck base is made of steel for high rigidity. Chuck jaws are bolt on types, so that jaws with other shapes & sizes can be furnished to clamping works of irregular shapes. Other numbers of chuck jaws, like 4, 6, 8, 12, etc. can be produced to order.
Chuck ODs can be made up to 2200mm. Its IDs can be large bore type to pass through tubular works. Customization can always be offered.

OD 1000mm 6-jaw self-centering chuck supplied to an Australian customer for integrating with a horizontal lathe with DIN 55027 C11 type spindle end, in order to hold thin-wall workpieces such as pipes and flanges. The chuck body was made of steel. The top jaws were made to order, with their shapes and sizes customized adapted to its needs of holding special workpieces.

This chuck was used to hole plastic pipes as its 6 jaws evenly exerted clamping forces onto pipe's outer surface to prevent it from being deformed by the clamping forces. This chuck had its base made of steel for long service life span and premium rigidity.
